Not-forProfit Organizations are in Danger...</u></b></p> <p><font face="Arial" size="2">2003 Budget: the municipal administration cancels the business tax while levying the same revenues (and more) through a new "non-residential property tax".<br>  <br> With a three-year program (2003-2005), the municipal administration helps owners move smoothly into the new tax system.<br>  <br> However, it heavily penalizes tenants that are recognized by the CMQ (Commission municipale du Québec) by suppressing the effectiveness of their exemption.<br> <br>  <br> In 2006, all NPOs will be taxed in like manner as for-profit companies.<br>  <br> In Montreal, over 1,000 NPOs are affected. <br>  <br> <br> For many of them, this fiscal burden from which they were exempted means in the best case, being seriously challenged in their mission at the service of the community, and in the worst case, being obliged to close down or to be dissolved.<br>  <br> City of Montreal's candidates-for-mayor must be clear and answer in a non equivocal way NPOs’ questions :<br>  <br> For the NPOs which are already or will be recognized by the Commission Municipale du Québec, is your administration going to
